Croatians voted on Sunday to becomes the 28th member country of the European Union.
The voter turn-out was low at 44% but the decision emphatic, with 66% saying yes to ac cession, which is to take place in July next year, once the existing member governments have ratified it.

Croatia has been cleared to become the 28th member country of the European Union, under a decision by the EU’s Heads of Government at Brussels, 24.6.11.

Another fugitive linked to wholesale political murders, the Serb military figure Ratko Mladic, has been caught (at a village in Northern Serbia, 26.5.11) , three weeks after the death of the terrorist Osama Bin Laden.
