Mosques Shake Germany

The building believed to be Eastern Germany’s first mosque celebrated its opening last Thursday in Berlin — and saw 150 citizens voicing theirorg-pic.jpg opposition.

Australia Takes on Europe

Europe will host the Wallabies in a six-match Spring Tour against Italy, England, n697236212_652242_9246.jpgFrance and Wales beginning in November.

The tour concludes on December 3 with a historic match against the top club side Barbarians in London.

Munich Mayor Christian Ude tapped the first keg of beer on Saturday in commencement of the 175th Oktoberfest at Theresienwiese.

Norway Resists Slump; Australia Too?

Norway is predicted to have “the world’s smallest economic downturn” next year amid a global recession — according to its own official statistics.

Grace Tobin spoke to the Norwegian Ambassador in Australia, Lars A. Wensell (picture), and concluded that with similar comments coming from Canberra, it’s been a tale two “lucky countries.”
