Five Australian soldiers wounded in Afghanistan last week are reported to be making a steady recovery.
A sixth man, Sergeant Brett Wood, killed in action last Monday (23.5.11), is expected to be returned to Australia during the coming week, after a ceremony put on by soldiers at the Tarin Kot base.

Defence authorities said on Friday there had been a significant improvement in the condition of two soldiers seriously injured by the improvised explosive device (IED) that killed Sgt. Wood.
They were being transferred from the allied hospital in Kandahar back to Tarin Kot.
The three other soldiers wounded in a separate small arms fire incident were already being managed as out-patients in Tarin Kot.
