burma-aung-pbs1.jpgThe political party headed by Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar, the NLD, has launched a website to help enact its program for change.

The new site begins with a message from the party leader extolling the importance of good communication and human rights.

It covers normal business for a democratic political party: many pictures of activists out and about, a book review, a report on a rice distribution issue, and a local story on ensuring clean water supplies.

Aung Sang Suu Kyi was released from  house detention by the military regime in Myanmar last November, with government leaders in Europe and elsewhere demanding assurances there would be no limitations on her ability to participate fully in political life.
