Mark Webber: Crash In Valencia

Australian Formula One driver Mark Webber is considering himself “lucky to be in one piece” as his spectacular crash in  Sunday’s European Grand Prix (27.6.10) is now replayed globally on television screens.

Overtaking cars in the race at Valencia, in Spain, he ran into the back of Heikki Kovalainen (Finland, in a Lotus), Webber’s car becoming airborn as it somersaulted into the barriers.

“He was blocking pretty aggressively”, said Mark Webber

His Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel (Germany) won the race, followed by the British Mclaren team, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button – those two drivers now, in that order, leading in the F1 championship series.
