lena-eurovision2.jpgSchmalz moved over for an unbeat pop song, Satellite, performed by Lena, runaway winner of the Eurovision Song Contest for 2010 (29.5.10).

The singer, Lena Meyer-Landrut, from Hannover, ended a run of victories for soft balladry and the more kitch-orientated style of on-stage performance — and in bringing the victory back West, put to bed some of that anxiety about voting blocs in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, spoiling it for everybody.

Commenting, Lena said, “I didn’t think we could do this”, and she sang: “Love my aim is straight for you, Cupid’s arrow is just for you, I even painted my toenails for you, I did it just the other day.”

Who could ask for more?

Satellite is already number one in six countries.

And soo, it is time … CONGRATULATIONS-Leeeena!! Felicitations! (Gratuliere).
