clarke-michael-dpykfamiliesorg.jpgAfter a full day’s play lost to rain, the two cricket test sides are musing over how they each might have won the third Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham (3.8.09).

England’s first innings lead (all out for 376 versus Australia 263) came to nothing thanks to the 185-run partnership of Australians Marcus North (96) and Michael Clarke (picture) (103 not-out).

Clarke, the Vice Captain, recorded his twelfth Century in fifty matches.

Play was stopped with some seven overs still to come, the Australians on five for 375, late on Day 5 – securing the drawn match.

England lead the series of five, 2-0, with two matches to play, resuming this Friday at Headingley, Leeds.
