Damir Dokic, father of the Australian tennis professional Jelena, has reportedly been gaoled for fifteen months in Belgrade (12.6.09), for making threats against the Australian Ambassador there.
His lawyer was quoted as saying there would be an appeal against the court sentence.
Menaces were uttered against the Australian diplomatic mission after Ms Dokic was quoted in an Australian magazine, talking about her relationship with her estranged parent.
Damir Dokic became famous for mercurial outbursts at tennis events while based in Australia, managing the career of his child-protege.
