As Health Ministers of the European Union countries prepared for an emergency meeting (30.4.09) on the swine influenza outbreak, hundreds of suspect cases were being investigated.
Eighteen cases had been identified in Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Several patients with flu symptoms, mostly mild, were being tested in Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Sweden — with also 107 in France, many coming off flights from Mexico, the seat of the disease outbreak this month.
