In Afghanistan, the hunt for the National Army soldier who shot dead an Australian on Monday has been unsuccessful, after three days.
The Afghan man shot Lance Corporal Andrew Gordon Jones, 25, at a patrol base North of the Australian headquarters at Tarin Kot.

Five Australian soldiers wounded in Afghanistan last week are reported to be making a steady recovery.
A sixth man, Sergeant Brett Wood, killed in action last Monday (23.5.11), is expected to be returned to Australia during the coming week, after a ceremony put on by soldiers at the Tarin Kot base.

A decorated Australian commando on his third tour in Afghanistan, Sergeant Brett Wood, has been killed in action.
It was the twenty-fourth death among Australians serving with the allied force in Afghanistan, organised by the NATO alliance.
Two other solders were wounded at the same time as Sgt. Wood, and three hurt in another incident.
