ACDC Concert Sells Out In Vienna

Britain Returns Skulls To Australia

Oxford University agreed on Wednesday (17.12.08) to return remains of three indigenous Australians to their rightful owners.

Three skulls and lower jaws, which where taken in the 1860s and held at the Oxford Museum of Natural History, will be returned to the Ngarrindjeri people of South Australia.

French Government Steps In For Car Industry

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has asked his Industry Minister Luc Chatel to formulate a plan by the end of the month to revive France’s struggling car industry.

Tempetes – France Faces The Storm

storms-12-08.jpgWinter has hit with a vengeance in France; heavy snowstorms and rain across a wide area of the country have left a hundred-thousand houses without electricity, highways and city roads are blocked, and train lines cut in the centre of the country.

The AFP agency reports that emergency crews have been getting people out of cars stranded on the roads, and avalanche alerts have been posted in twelve of the mountain departments of France.

Rome Floods

The mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno declared a state of emergency last Thursday following major flooding and savage storms in the city and surrounding areas.
